myPAbox Services -CASPA Application Review
The most confusing part of applying to PA school is understanding the CASPA application. For everyone that is equally confused as I was when applying, CASPA stands for Central Application Service for Physician Assistants.
Now that we’re all on the same page, I have some good news for you! MYPABOX now offers a service where we go over your CASPA application with you, before you submit it to the PA programs you’re applying to.
Did you know once you submit your application you cannot edit it? Because of this, this review is an invaluable resource! CASPA truly is the keystone to getting accepted to a PA program. Some of the things we look at during the CASPA application review are ensuring you have all the proper documents, checking to make sure every field is completed accurately, and reviewing your projected CASPA GPA calculation if you have already entered this information into your MYPABOX account!
There are overarching requirements to apply to any program, but there are also specific requirements for each individual program you apply to. All of these requirements can become difficult to keep track of – that’s where we step in.
We can take a look and make sure that you have the proper documents for each program. For example, some programs require supplemental essays and questions, whereas others do not. We can help make sure that you didn’t miss any requirements that would have subsequently caused your application to be skipped over and not reviewed by the PA programs.
Similarly, we can make sure you are filling out the application correctly and in the most advantageous way. For example, if you have a lot of experiences listed under volunteering, but none under leadership, we may be able to find one that would be better served under the leadership category. This will help your application appear more well rounded and show off a variety of your skills.
Changes such as these will help your application stand out over the other applicants this season! We can also help you decide which healthcare encounters belong under the patient care experience category versus the healthcare experience category. This is beneficial because many programs have time requirements for these categories.
We can also assist you with the GPA portion of your application. Did you know that CASPA recalculates your GPA so it may actually be different than what your transcripts say? This is because they count every course you’ve taken, even if your undergraduate university did something such as a grade replacement. This is definitely something to take into account if you are on the border of being able to apply to certain PA programs.

Working with a PA-C through our CASPA application review will grant you the opportunity to talk over the above topics and so much more. We will screen share your application for 60 minutes and walk through what has been done well, what can be done better, and what has been missed. This is great for all applicants because we can help identify weak spots that you may have missed!
